PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Principal Lead, 1/2005 – 12/2014

Verizon – Richardson, TX

Provide leadership and coaching to a team of engineers to accomplish on time delivery of DS3, OC12, OC48, 1 GIG, and 10 GIG circuits. Design and manage projects to turn up circuits and accounts for internal network growth and customers to service quality for mainland US.

Key Accomplishments:

* Motivate a team of engineers to achieve 95%+ of on-time delivery of circuits, as against company standard 90%, for customer as well as internal growth.
* Project managed the entire mainland United States for on-time design and delivery of DS3 and OC level circuits.
* Manage and designate workload; create and justify schedules, reports and projects for upper management regarding employees, customer orders and vendor requirements.

 

WALMART DIRECT CONNECTS - VERIZON

Managed a project to install equipment for OC48s by vendors Lightcore and MBO at Pineville, MO and Bentonville, AR. The project consisted of scheduling, installation, configuration, and turn-up of the equipment. Initiated the installation of DS3s and OC3s on the installed OC48 for Wal-Mart after the turn-up. The project delivered 100% customer satisfaction.

 

DIRECT CONNECT PROJECT – VERIZON

Negotiated, Designed and Implemented direct connectivity using our internal network along with our lease carrier’s network (Noel Communications, Onvoy, Progress Telecom, DTI, Norlight, BTI, IFN, KDL

and AFN) to overall reduce individual monthly cost per circuit, providing the company more opportunities to meet internal network and customer requirements. The project saved access telco costs above 5 Million US Dollars and also accelerated circuit installation by 15 business days. This helped achieve on time circuit installation to 95% as against company standard of 90%.

 

UNIDENTIFIED AND MISCELLANEOUS CIRCUITS - VERIZON

Managed a project that identified circuits that were unidentified and billed by various vendors. The project consisted of coordination with the vendors such as AT&T, Sprint, IFN, 360networks, among others, to initiate loop back tests and disconnect them if still unidentified. The project saved company more than 2.5 Million US Dollars per year.

BILLING RECONCILIATION - VERIZON

Managed a project to identify and dispute over-billing. Provided a monthly report to upper management showing billing patterns by various vendors like Sprint, AT&T, Level3, Touch America, and disputing any over-billing. In the last three years saved over 4 Million US Dollars for the company.
